Crafting Community in Boulder

How Marijuana is Helping Colorado - Crafting Community in Boulder - The Farm Marijuana Dispensary helps out in Boulder Shelter for The HomelessAs ambassadors for legalization, The Farm continues to blaze the path, acting as positive role models in the quest to end the negative perception of cannabis. In addition to setting an example by being one hundred percent compliant with all city and state marijuana laws, The Farm also endeavors to be a shining star, guiding positive social change, by contributing to the communal fabric of Colorado.

Though the economic impact of marijuana legalization in Colorado is a common topic, The Farm is focusing on a not so popular aspect, and one of its leading ideals—to use our momentum to do good in our community, creating the very social benefits we want to see in our state. This month, The Farm has teamed up with several businesses and non-profit organizations to put their energy toward such efforts.

The Social Benefits of Marijuana

Several members of The Farm team, this week, volunteered to shop, purchase, prepare and cook a full homemade meatball and pasta dinner to help feed 160 homeless people. Like the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, The Farm believes that everyone deserves the core necessities of life, and as part of our Boulder community, we were honored to serve this purpose.

Lagers for Lumber 2017 logoThis Saturday, July 15, from 4-8pm, The Farm will team up with one of our friends in Longmont, Colorado. Wibby Brewing, in the spirit of community resilience and vitality, is hosting Lagers for Lumber, to benefit local charities through Foothills United Way, Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley & Left Hand Artist Group. Lagers for Lumber, Colorado’s first lager-only beer festival, is the foundation of Wibby Brewing’s annual fundraising efforts. Thirty breweries will be accompanied by live music, a silent disco, a silent auction, pool party, photo booth, as well as family interactive games, such as bobbing for hotdogs, tie-dying, life-size Jenga, water slides, and corn hole.

Jul-IPA 2017 - to benefit Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Non-Violence (SPAN)Looking for a fun destination to hang out with your friends this month? The Farm is sponsoring a month-long craft IPA celebration that’s under way now, at the The West End Tavern in Boulder! One hundred percent the proceeds of JUL-IPA 2017 go to benefit one of our favorite non-profit organizations, the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN). Bringing together brewers, beer geeks and the community, every Tuesday and Thursday nigh in July, at 6 pm, breweries from across the country will provide mini-taprooms to the West End. The month of festivities culminate with a JUL-IPA 2017 Rooftop Party on Saturday, July 29th, from noon – 3pm. Tickets to this event provide access to the Live Auction, food from The West End Tavern, Live Music and IPA tastings.

The Farm is committed to the Boulder community and look forward to increasing social benefit through being positive role models in the marijuana industry. Together, as a community, we can show the world how marijuana is helping Colorado.
